Meet Vibrvnt: the Rising Feel-Good Bass Artist the Scene Needs Right Now [Exclusive Interview]

by Colin Eldridge | Apr 9, 2026 | Artists, Interviews

Vibrvnt gives a peek inside his world of Mental Health Advocacy, Collab tracks, Working with Multiple Labels, and Winning Insomniac Discovery ProjecT

Meet the newest sensation in uplifting vibey bass music that’s taking social media and the festival scene by storm: Vibrvnt. Recently selected by Insomniac Discovery Project, Vibrvnt made his debut festival performance at Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge last summer. Since then, he has released a slew of absolute bangers and remixes that have caught the attention of bass music titans like Zeds Dead, LSDREAM, and more. Just last month, he released the hip-hop funky bass fusion “Bounce” featuring Probcause on LSDREAM’s Trippy Bee records, alongside his “Bounce EP” with two other tracks. The EP was closely followed with his track “Work”, a trippy trappy bass banger released on Insomniac Records.

Suffice to say, Vibrvnt has been putting in work, and you’ll want to keep an eye on him if you love bass music similar to artists like Maddy O’Neal, Daily Bread, Tape B, GRiZ, or Pretty Lights

We got the chance to interview Ryan Gray, the man behind the Vibrvnt project. He keeps it real in his interview, spanning from his collaborative projects to his visuals, while also touching on subjects in his personal life like mental health, family, and making music fun.

Ryan is such a down-to-earth guy and was a pleasure to talk to. Check out the full interview below, and for more EDM news, keep it right here at Electric Feels.

EF: For those just discovering you, how would you describe the world of Vibrvnt?

Ryan: Vibrvnt is all about having fun and spreading joy through infectious, groovy bass music. It’s colorful, it’s bright, it’s high energy, it’s funky, and it’s a whole lot of bass all at the same time. I really wanted my visuals to embody that. They are trippy, vibrant, and in your face!

EF: Who makes those awesome trippy visuals in your Instagram posts?

That’s my dogggg. Victoria is the best. She’s an incredibly talented visual artist who goes by Marsh Motion, and I’m so stoked to be working with her.

Everything she makes starts from photos she takes in nature, then she transforms them into these super trippy, kaleidoscopic visuals. A lot of flowers, birds, sunsets, all flipped into something really vibrant and alive. It matches the whole Vibrvnt world perfectly.

She’s also worked on visuals and stage design for artists I really look up to like INZO, Big Gigantic, and ALLEYCVT, which is super inspiring.

I honestly couldn’t have found a better fit for the look and feel I’ve always wanted. I can’t wait for the day we’re doing huge custom stage visuals together.

EF: Your sound mixes soulful instrumentation with hard-hitting drops. Where does that contrast come from?

Ryan: Yeah, I just love the sound of live recorded instruments. I am particularly drawn to piano, strings, and brass, and I think it’s hard to beat the soul and inflections you can get out of playing those instruments. I love taking and chopping up samples, putting a unique spin on them, and then sprinkling them throughout a big heavy dubstep drop. The juxtaposition between high energy, heavy bass sound design and pretty piano melodies just feels so good to me.

EF: Your sets bring a lot of energy and you don’t seem afraid to jump between genres. What are you trying to create for people when they see you live?

Ryan: I’m really just trying to focus on playing the most fun set possible. I try not to get too wrapped up in what is “cool” and just play what I am drawn to and what I would have the absolute best time seeing live. It can be harder at times figuring out how to put together a set that jumps around genres and BPMs so much, but I find it really rewarding. I love playing remixes, funky glitch hop, throwback trap, and dubstep tracks, brand new tracks I think are fresh, really nothing is off limits as long as it’s hype and gets people excited.

EF: You’ve had a strong run recently with releases and big opportunities. What’s been the biggest shift for you behind the scenes?

Ryan: I’ve been writing as much music as humanly possible. Over the past couple of years, my own style really started to emerge. The whole Vibrvnt project kind of presented itself to me. It felt like, oh wow, I know what I want to do. I found the sounds, vibes, colors, and ideas that I’m passionate about, and I think having that clear direction has allowed others to start resonating with the art as well.

EF: Can you tell us more about working with Insomniac Discovery Project? What was that process like for you and how did it feel to perform at Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge for the first time?

Ryan: Oh my god, the process was overwhelming in the best way. I submitted a track and a mix on their website like thousands of other producers and then honestly completely forgot about it. I just assumed there was no chance.

A few weeks later I received a call from Lauren at Insomniac, who is the coolest, sweetest person by the way, shout out Lauren, and she casually told me I was selected by INZO as the winner and asked if I’d be available to play mainstage at Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge in a month. My stomach absolutely dropped, I legit felt like I was going to pass out. Up until that point I had only played one show to about 30 people. I thought for sure she was going to ask about my experience playing live, but she didn’t. I nervously said yeah, of course I can.

I practiced my set every day for hours just to make sure nothing could go wrong. When I got to the Gorge, it was so beautiful, and every artist I met backstage was so cool and nice that I somehow just felt completely calm. I wasn’t sure how it was going to go, but performing just felt right.

When I got on stage and saw the crowd’s reaction while playing my music, I just had the best time of my life. Getting that experience was a bucket list moment that I will cherish forever.

EF: You’ve collaborated with artists like ProbCause and Jason Leech. How did those connections come together?

Ryan: First off, both ProbCause and Jason Leech are the absolute homies. Super nice and incredibly talented musicians. It’s crazy to me that they wanted to work with me.

ProbCause saw me post an unreleased song on IG that was called “Spend the Night” at the time. He DM’d me saying he loved my music and asked if I wanted to collab on anything. I’m a huge ProbCause fan, so it was a no-brainer. “Spend the Night” had female vocals, but we thought it would be dope to have him rap on the first verse, then have the female vocals in the second verse. That song became our collab “Bounce,” and it’s one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of making.

For the collab with Jason Leech, we had been chatting on IG for a little while. He hit me up for stems of a couple of my tracks so that he could play them out live on keys, which if you haven’t seen him play, you need to YouTube it right now, he is a madman. After chatting for a bit and having a mutual appreciation for each other’s music, I asked him if he wanted to collab on a track I had started called “Love.” I had what I thought was a cool idea, but I wasn’t exactly sure where to take it or what it needed.

I sent it over to Jason, who added some really cool live-recorded elements and an unreal synth lead he played in. He really took the track to the next level and made it something special. It felt like a true collaboration. We’re really proud of that one.

EF: Can you talk about how you connected with LSDREAM and landed on Trippy Bee?

Ryan: Yeah, it still blows my mind that this even happened. It really opened my eyes to how powerful social media can be as an artist.

I had posted an unreleased track, “Can’t Fight It,” and LSDREAM DM’d me, saying he really connected with the track. That sparked a conversation, and I ended up sending over a few more songs for him and Trippy Bee to check out. They really resonated with three of them, which became the EP, “Bounce” with ProbCause, “Can’t Fight It,” and “Find a Way.”

That whole moment was huge for my project. It felt like real validation from someone I look up to, but more than that, it opened a lot of doors. Being part of Trippy Bee expanded my reach, brought new listeners into my world, and gave me a bigger platform to build on. It also gave me confidence that I’m moving in the right direction and that the sound and vision I’m building is actually connecting.

I wish I could have been there 😩 Song: Zeds Dead -Collapse (Vibrvnt Flip)

EF: What did it feel like seeing Zeds Dead close their set with your “Collapse” remix at Same Same But Different Festival?

Ryan: Ahh, I would have killed to see that live. It honestly meant everything. I’ve been a huge Zeds Dead fan since college, so even seeing the videos was surreal.

“Collapse” is one of my all-time favorite tracks of theirs, it’s a classic. So for them to play my remix felt like they really saw it and respected how I approached it. When you touch a song like that, you want to honor the original while still making it your own, and that moment made me feel like I did right by them.

EF: What parts of your life outside of music have most influenced who you are as an artist today?

Ryan: I’m a pretty open book, so I apologize if this gets a little deep, but honestly, everything. The ups, the downs, the struggles, the tears, the laughter with friends, the love, the pain. All of it has shaped me.

Several members of my immediate family struggle with schizophrenia and addiction, and it’s been a long, ongoing battle. We’ve dealt with prison, hospitalizations, and homelessness, and it’s heartbreaking to see. It definitely takes a toll.

At the same time, it’s put a lot into perspective for me. It’s made me really ask what I want to do in this world, and the answer I keep coming back to is having a positive impact on the people around me. Just being kind and spreading love, because a lot of people really need more of that.

That’s what I try to do in my life, with my friends, and through my music. At the end of the day, I want the project to spread joy and just be about having fun.

EF: How have those experiences influenced the intention behind what you’re building with your project?

Ryan: Seeing these struggles firsthand and the weight they put on families, it’s really important to me to give back. I’ve pledged to donate 10% of net profits from the project to mental health and homelessness charities.

I want to do this the right way and build something sustainable that can actually support these causes long term, not just be a one-time thing.

At its core, the mission is to spread love, awareness, and positivity through everything I do with this project.
