
BAKERSFELD, CA Lightning in a Bottle (LiB) is returning to Buena Vista Lake, California, from May 21–25, 2025. Presented by Do LaB, this immersive festival blends world-class music, art, wellness, and community into a transformative experience. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned festival-goer, here’s your essential guide to LIB 2025. Here’s everything you need to know for attending LiB.

Performances span across immersive core stages: Lightning, Woogie, and Thunder, with additional programming at TheStacks, TheJunkyard, and The Grand Artique.




Getting There
Buena Vista Lake is approximately a two-hour drive from Los Angeles.
Driving Directions to LIB:
Via Interstate 5, North or South
Exit Bear Mountain Rd / HWY 223
Go West on Bear Mountain Rd / HWY 223 for 4 miles
Turn right onto Coles Levee Rd and continue for 3 miles
Other Travel Options:
- Lightning Bus – Eco-friendly transportation from LAX and Downtown LA.
- Parking Passes – Available for those driving.
- Car Camping or RV Passes – Include vehicle entry.

Packing Tips
- Essentials:ID, face mask for dust, sunglasses, earplugs, headlamp, refillable water bottle, sturdy footwear, and heavy-duty trash bags.
- Weather Prep: Daytime temperatures can reach the high 90s; nights may drop to the low 60s. Pack light clothes for the day and warm layers for the night.
- Campsite Safety: Secure all gear, especially during windy conditions. Remove tarps from EZ-ups when not in use.
- Prohibited Items:
- No public nudity
- No glass bottles or glass containers i.e. beer, soda, hard liquor (plastic and cans are ok)
- No illegal drugs of any kind
- No weapons (including things like machetes for opening coconuts. No weapons at all.)
- No fireworks, fire tools or fire lanterns
- No pets (service animals are only permitted with documentation at the discretion of our ADA team (email ada@thedolab.com for further instruction)
- No fires outside of designated fire pits
- No Headdresses or cultures as costumes
- No Space Saving as in roping off area for your friends who arrive later. Please arrive together or meet new neighbors.Fireworks, drones, glass containers, kegs, portable gas-powered generators, and illegal substances.

- Prepare for Ingress: There’s one road in and out; expect slower entry during peak times.
