Miami, FL — Ultra Music Festival concluded its sold-out 2026 Miami edition on Sunday, March 29, welcoming 165,000 dance music enthusiasts from 100 countries to Bayfront Park for a weekend that once again defined the global standard for electronic music culture.

This year, the Miami-based, globally recognized flagship event was honored by Miami-Dade County with an *official proclamation declaring March 28 as Ultra Music Festival Day*, in a ceremony presided over by County Commissioner Vicky L. “We’re grateful to Miami-Dade County for recognizing Ultra Music Festival with this designation,” said Russell Faibisch, Co-Founder and CEO of Ultra Music Festival. “Miami is our flagship destination and our home, and it has played a defining role in shaping our ethos. This recognition reflects the relationship we’ve built here over time, and we look forward to continuing to contribute to the culture and the broader community.”

Vicky L. Lopez, Commissioner, Miami-Dade County, District 5 added, “On behalf of Miami-Dade County, we are proud to recognize Ultra Music Festival and its leadership for their continued commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community impact. Their work not only elevates Miami on a global stage but also reflects the values and progress of Miami”

Ultra 2026 supplied a nonstop, multi-stage spectacle of world-class talent throughout the weekend, as #ULTRALIVE reached 42.5 million around the globe.

At the epicenter of the festivities stood Ultra’s Main Stage, which hosted heavyweights like Major LazerHardwellILLENIUM, and R3HAB, who made his anticipated return to Ultra after 12 years. It was also the source of multiple highlights throughout the weekend that underscored electronic music’s rising influence in pop culture — a defining example being emerging Argentinian producer BZRP’s breakout Friday set, which featured cameos from Skrillex and Daddy Yankee

That same night, former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was seen enjoying Martin Garrix and Alesso’s back-to-back performance, while Farruko popped out during Steve Aoki on Saturday.

The weekend culminated in a historic closing takeover from Swedish House Mafia on Saturday, whose curated “festival within a festival” tapped Eric Prydz for a rare back-to-back alongside Armand Van HeldenKelly Lee OwensBoys NoizeAfrojack and MPH

The showcase also featured a poignant tribute to Avicii, who was a cornerstone of both Ultra and electronic music history. Sunday sustained this momentum with several appearances from reggaeton A-listers. J Balvin, Ryan Castro, and ISOxo (following his Friday headlining performance) joined DJ Snake as special guests, while John Summit closed out the stage with

Beyond the Main Stage, Ultra’s expansive programming ensured no shortage of standout moments across all corners of the festival. The Ultra Worldwide Stage showcased a balanced mix of up-and-coming and established talent spanning a wide spectrum of global dance music flavors. Armin van Buuren’s esteemed A State of Trance touched down here for its 14th stage takeover on Friday, while Peekaboo invited his touring partner LYNY to join him during his Sunday Ultra debut. Saturday brought an unexpected mix of heavy sonics to the stage as DJ Snake, under his dubstep alias Outlaw, went back-to-back with hard dance maven Trym

Meanwhile, Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak took over the UMF Radio Stage on Friday to celebrate its 30th anniversary. In addition to a throwback electro set from Bloody BeetrootsSteve Aoki brought the entire takeover billing in addition to beloved vocalists to the stage for an epic back-to-back surprise. Coone and his hardstyle label Dirty Workz additionally returned to their UMF Radio Stage home on Saturday, this year with the likes of SorenMISHD-SturbDa Tweekaz, and more in tow.

The Live Stage showcased special edition performances all weekend from ZHUMadeonBoys NoizeLouis The Child, and Levity, who surprised fans with a guest appearance from Tape B during the outfit’s Lasership showing.

The RESISTANCE Megastructure, Ultra’s house and techno stronghold, once again supplied cutting-edge soundtracking that continues to solidify the brand as an underground institution. Led by Carl Cox, other artists gracing the Megastructure this year included Boris BrejchaVintage CultureAdriatique, and Sasha and John Digweed. The Megastructure also hosted a series of highly anticipated back-to-back debuts, most notably the commanding first ever back-to-back performance from techno powerhouses Amelie Lens and Sara Landry. They were joined by other debut acts including Adam Beyer B2B Joseph Capriati (US debut performance), Mind Against B2B Argy (World Debut), and Eli Brown (Megastructure debut).

Sustainability remained central to Ultra’s identity with the return of its award-winning Mission: Home subsidiary for its sixth year. The RESISTANCE Cove stage — which hosted takeovers from Sara Landry’s Hekate and The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin’ Headz imprints, alongside the USA debut of Joris Voorn B2B Korolova — was the centerpiece of these efforts in 2026. The stage made history as the first zero-emission, battery-powered stage at a major U.S. electronic music festival.

Mission: Home also expanded its impact with a total of 65 initiatives for 2026 focused on reducing environmental impact, supporting local communities, and engaging fans in meaningful action. Using the battery on the RESISTANCE Cove stage avoided nearly 19,000* pounds of carbon emissions from entering our atmosphere. This is the equivalent of an average car driving more than 22,000 miles - or to and from Miami to New York 9 times.
