This year’s Sonic Bloom, with its intimate gathering, embraced a cherished sense of camaraderie among a smaller crowd. As Thursday arrived, wind and a light rain cascaded from the skies, accompanied by a chorus of gusty winds that teased the festival grounds.

By Sunday, the sun cast its warmth upon the gathering, melting away the residue of rainfall. From the shivering tendrils of precipitation to the scorching embrace of sunshine, Sonic Bloom reveled in the capricious dance of weather, reminding all who bore witness that within the ebb and flow of nature lies the essence of adventure. Once again, this festival proves true that these are sacred spaces where one can come to be free, just as they are, without the need to fit into a certain society and all judgements are left at the entrance. 

On Friday, the universe bestowed its watery blessings upon the grounds of the festival, as raindrops delicately tapped on the eager faces of festival-goers. But the drops were fleeting, making way for a beautiful spectacle that unfolded as night descended. The day had been a melodic journey, starting with a walk to the Main Stage to witness the sonic wizardry of Yheti, as his beats reverberated through the air under the daylight.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Solfire, a local Coloradan, wove a spellbinding tapestry of sound within the mystical confines of the D’OM, casting a spell of magic upon all who ventured into her set. Meanwhile, Dirtwire brought their eclectic and unique sound to the Bloom Stage, their compositions intertwining with the pulsating lasers, creating a symphony of sights and sounds that captivated the senses.

In the Meadow stage, as the night grew darker, Chmura took the stage, his music embodying the mysterious allure of the nocturnal hours. The harmony of darkness and music converged, enveloping the surroundings in an enchanting aura, guiding attendees into a sonic reverie that danced amidst the shadows. Friday night at Sonic Bloom unfolded like a mystical tale, where rain, stars, lasers, and a diverse array of artists conspired to create a magical experience that would linger in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to bear witness.

 Saturday arrived with a tempestuous temperament, as the wind and rain swept through the day with wild abandon. Yet, as the music beckoned, the skies cleared and the atmosphere transformed into an electrifying symphony of sound and light. The journey began at the Hummingbird stage, where Motifv’s captivating melodies took flight beneath a vibrant canopy nestled amidst the towering trees.

The crowd swayed and immersed themselves in the music, finding solace in the respite from the earlier tempest. As dusk approached, the enchantment deepened with Ott’s arrival at the Bloom Stage, his mesmerizing soundscapes intertwining with the bright lasers that painted the night sky. The crowd was transported to ethereal realms as Ott’s music carried them on a transcendental journey.

A bit later in the night, the Meadow stage pulsated with the deep bass sounds of Ternion Sound, the vibrations resonating through the very core of the festival grounds. The main headliner, Clozee took the helm on the main stage, delivering a performance that defied expectations and left the crowd in awe.

With each beat, she commanded the stage, creating moments that reverberated through the night, marking the triumphant close of Saturday’s festivities. On Sunday, the final day of the festival, the sun emerged from behind the clouds, casting its radiant warmth upon the revelers. As the temperature rose, people sought relief from the heat by venturing to the nearby creek, eagerly dipping their toes into the refreshing waters. Laughter and joy echoed along the creek’s edge as friends created lasting memories in the cool embrace of nature.

With rejuvenated spirits, attendees meandered towards the Hummingbird stage, drawn by the captivating sounds of Thought Process. Amongst the trees, the music resonated, intertwining with the rustling leaves and filling the air with an enchanting atmosphere. After exploring the natural wonders for the last day through the trees, people made their way to many different stages.

One being Maddy O’Neal, igniting a euphoric energy that coursed through the audience. The beats reverberated, captivating hearts and souls as her music enveloped the gathering. And then, as the sun began its descent, the time had come for Koan Sound to unleash his sonic kaleidoscope.
