Euphoria: Breaking out of Your Comfort Zone

With so many top-notch acts from all over the world heading to Austin in just three days, it’s easy for some of the less-known acts to be overlooked when making your set lists and party plans. Here is an introductory guide to some of the more covert or underground names at the festival, and a few reasons why checking out the little guy might be worth your while at this year’s Euphoria Music Festival!

Don’t even think about missing the funkadellic disco-infused producer, Flamigosis, all the way out from New Jersey as he takes over the Euphoria stage from 4:00-5:00 on Friday night. This fresh new producer draws inspiration from Flying Lotus, J. Dilla, and general hip-hop culture as he fuses together his own modern blend of upbeat tunes that are sure to leave any crowd smiling and dancing in a euphoric vibe that you won’t want to miss.

Next- make sure not to miss local Dallas producer, Medasin, from 6:30-7:30 on the Elements stage Saturday night as he brings his own mixture of future, bass, and trap elements to create a high quality and energetic set. Tell your festie-bestie and bring a new friend for this set, as this DJ/Producer promises to be one of the rising talents to surface in the scene over the next years in the United States.

Finally, come on out to the Elements stage Sunday afternoon from 3:45-5:00 to have your faces melted by The Widdler as he brings an underground blend of eccentric dub mixed with demonic wobbles to this lineup. Since moving from Tel Aviv, Israel, the Widdler has made a name for himself in the local electronica scene in and around Austin, TX by playing everything from nightclubs to underground festivals. Don’t miss this epic talent as he promises to drop a most legendary set in his current hometown.

The team down at Euphoria Music Festival have worked extra hard this year to not only bring you the highest quality acts in the main-stream music world, but also to bring you some of the most quality underground acts out there. Make sure to do yourself a favor this year and check out some of the talent that you may have never heard of- you never know, you could catch the next rising superstar killing it in a daytime side stage performance!
